Day 22

Matthew Chapter 22

Daily thought to go along with each day’s reading.

Matthew Chapter 22

Daily Thought

There’s a feast and a party awaiting all of those who have knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord. God has prepared the way to reconciliation, fellowship, joy and peace. We’re all invited to partake in God’s party. Are you passing on the opportunity as the religious leaders of Jesus day? Too often, we pay no attention to the interests of God. We’re busy with our business, our family, our resume, our hobbies, our televisions and phones.

Every day that compiles apart from connecting with Jesus Christ in His Word, in prayer, and in His service do we not feel Jesus Words in our soul: ‘those who are invited are not worthy?’

Jesus asks each one of us, whose likeness and inscription is on you? God has stamped His image on us and we are to give to God what rightfully belongs to Him – our lives. That means releasing our interests for His by the grace that He affords. For many are called but few are chosen based on their response.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Draw near to God during the week with our “thought for the day”based on each day’s readings.
