Hilltop’s Pickleball Picnic/Potluck at Gilbert Willis Park in Wixom

Food, fellowship, and pickleball for a purpose!

You are invited to come out for an afternoon of food, fellowship, and pickleball for a purpose! All are welcome! Even if you don’t play pickleball, come enjoy an afternoon outdoors with your Hilltop family and meet new friends from Crossroads Church and Devon Aire Community Church of the Nazarene! The afternoon will include: live music, yoga in the park provided by Margaret Sullivan, and an instructional pickleball clinic for anyone who has never played but would like to learn!

The date is set for Saturday, August 17 at Gilbert Willis Park in Wixom. We will meet at 12 pm, dinner will begin at 2:00 pm.

It will be a fun afternoon for the whole family. Gilbert Willis Park offers basketball, tennis, pickleball, inline skating, softball, fitness trail, a playground and clean bathrooms near our pavilion.

We will supply the main dish (hamburgers (beef & veggie) and hot dogs), and you can bring a side dish to pass. Please let us know you are coming so we can be sure to have enough food for everyone!

Cost: $5 per person / $10 per family

What To Bring:

  • If you have your own pickleball paddles, feel free to bring them
  • Camp chair(s)
  • A item to donate to the Devon Aire Community Church food pantry (Items of need include: boxed cereal/instant oatmeal/pop tarts, canned fruits/vegetables, canned meat, peanut butter, and jelly.)
  • A bottle of water or your favorite drink (We expect the day to be hot and we want everyone to stay well hydrated.)

Let’s come together as a community to make a meaningful impact at this event! We are thrilled to announce that this year’s picnic will also serve a noble cause supporting Five Points of Hope, a local organization run by volunteers, which provides financial assistance for Michigan residents who have been diagnosed with cancer and are facing financial difficulties.

We would like to thank Davey Tree Service for sponsoring this year’s event.
