Season of Giving

We are entering the “giving season” and we have a few opportunities

to spread the love of Christ, both locally and internationally.

It is our prayer that one or more of these giving opportunities will

speak to you and your family:

Operation Christmas Child

Now – Sunday, November 15

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are being collected through Sunday, November 15. Prayerfully consider participating in this project as we team up with Samaritan’s Purse to let “boys and girls around the world know that God loves them and has not forgotten them during this time of fear and uncertainty. Children need great joy now more than ever. Most of all, they need the hope found only in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” Visit our special display in the Atrium and pick up your box this weekend!

Check out “How to Pack a Shoebox” and the “Gift Suggestion” list.

For more information on Operation Christmas Child, check out Samaritan’s Purse.

Compassion Sunday

Sunday, November 15

You will have an opportunity to learn about a special partnership between Compassion International and Hilltop where we are committed to building a Compassion Center for at-risk mothers in the Dominican Republic, the mission of Compassion International, and information on how to be a life-changing sponsor to a child. We ask that you prayerfully consider joining us in this effort to fight poverty, sponsor children, and spread the good news of Jesus Christ to the poorest of the poor.

Lovin’ Lanigan At Thanksgiving

Sunday, November 22

In an effort to promote outreach into our community, our focus will be on supporting and loving Lanigan Elementary School in Farmington Hills this school year. We are “lovin’ on Lanigan” this Thanksgiving! Help us provide Thanksgiving dinner to 30 families from Lanigan Elementary. Thanks to the generosity of Busch’s Fresh Food Market, Hilltop will be able to provide the turkeys! We are asking that you fill in the rest of the meal with various non-perishable items. Pick up your shopping list HERE or this Sunday in the Atrium and return the grocery items by Sunday, November 22. Thank you for blessing Lanigan families with a delicious Thanksgiving dinner!

Angel Tree

We are also excited to bring back “Angel Tree” this Christmas! This ministry serves local children by providing a Christmas gift to those who have an incarcerated parent. Further details will be coming in a couple of weeks.
