Everything we do at Hilltop is for the purpose of helping seekers connect with God and others for the purpose of doing good for God and others. We want you to seek out what God has to say on Sunday mornings through His Word in order to connect it to doing good in your everyday life. And we want you to seek out connecting in our life groups to be further encouraged in your faith while doing good with others. This is how we believe people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
What matters most at Hilltop flows out of these core beliefs:
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17, Acts 2:32-36, Ephesians 2:13-18)
We believe that the atonement of Jesus Christ is for every person who repents and believes. (Isaiah 53:5-6, John 2:1-2, Acts 4:10-12)
The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He comforts believers, gives them spiritual gifts, and influences them to participate with Him in becoming more like Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 3:12-13, Peter 1:14-19, Corinthians 6:14-7:1)
The Bible is God’s inspired Word and contains all truth necessary for Salvation. We believe the Bible inspired by God is relevant to our daily lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 8:12-14, Galatians 5:16-24)
The church is a local community of believers in Jesus Christ, led by the Holy Spirit. The church informed by the Bible works together in love to reflect Christ. (Ephesians 4:1-24, John 17:14-26, Acts 2:32-47)
