As a church, our mission is simple. We exist to equip and energize people to know, show, and share Jesus to our neighborhoods, networks, and beyond. This is how we live out the Great Commission as followers of Christ.
Ultimately we want to see:
Individuals are maturing spiritually by knowing, showing, and sharing the love of Jesus with others in the body of Christ.
People are seeking to know, show, and share the love of Jesus outside of the church in their neighborhoods, networks, and beyond.
Marriage relationships are being strengthened and encouraged to know, show, and share the love of Jesus.
Young individuals and families are being attracted, integrated, and energized to know, show, and share the love of Jesus.
What matters most at Hilltop flows out of these core beliefs:
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17, Acts 2:32-36, Ephesians 2:13-18)
We believe that the atonement of Jesus Christ is for every person who repents and believes. (Isaiah 53:5-6, John 2:1-2, Acts 4:10-12)
The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He comforts believers, gives them spiritual gifts, and influences them to participate with Him in becoming more like Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 3:12-13, Peter 1:14-19, Corinthians 6:14-7:1)
The Bible is God’s inspired Word and contains all truth necessary for Salvation. We believe the Bible inspired by God is relevant to our daily lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 8:12-14, Galatians 5:16-24)
The church is a local community of believers in Jesus Christ, led by the Holy Spirit. The church informed by the Bible works together in love to reflect Christ. (Ephesians 4:1-24, John 17:14-26, Acts 2:32-47)
